Hard Sweet Life

You’ve got to respect lab technicians. I mean seriously, to be a lab technician, you need guts. Lots of guts. Yesterday, I visited a doctor due to stomach upsets and  my stool sample was demanded. I went did my thing and as I waited there for my results, it got me thinking.  I just gave someone my number 2 to examine! I know from being a parent that poop is not a problem, what with the diaper changing and touching when sometimes it travels up the back. ( Every parent’s worst nightmare especially if your kid is overactive). But this is different. When  changing the diaper, you just remove the shit and throw it away, but the lab guy is combing through your shit (literally). Then there's this time just before you hand over the sample. You are seated there holding it and pretending to be cool while deep inside you are dying. What runs through their mind during such times?
