Set Goals Not Deadlines for Reading Books

Life is so busy isn’t it?  We always seem to keep chasing  after something or someone.  We’re either chasing that work deadline,  that promotion, the need to make a quick buck.  Saving up to buy that car,  chasing to impress our dream girl or guy.  We’re always chasing.   Vi:a islamicrays Image Source: http://weheartit.com/ I don’t think books should be read to meet deadlines. Am of the opinion that a good book should be enjoyed... it should be savored.  In the end, like Anna Godbersen says, moments savored are the only things that matter. If meeting deadlines is a reason for you to read a book, then you’ve lost the whole point of reading. I believe that a book is an escape from all the realities of life. When in a good mood, when in a sour mood, when in a ‘soso’ mood, when you are idle, when on a bus or train ride and if possible on a motorbike (someone should try that).
